Problems connecting a MacBook and Vista PC
I hope this thread is in the right place. I'm trying to transfer a large number of files saved on the PC to the MacBook quickly. To do this I'm trying to use an Ethernet connection through a router. The PC is running with Vista, the MacBook has OS X 10.5.7 (I don't know if that's relevant), and the two can be seen by each other. But, they can't actually connect; the PC says the problem is "The Network pinged the remote host but did not receive a reply", the mac spends some time 'connecting' but it then just says "connection failed". I really don't know what to try, so help would be greatly appreciated.
