Mac Loses Connection
I have a wireless connection that goes through my house, covers every inch of it, except my bedroom. I don't know what the problem is with this and the not knowing is driving me crazy. If I go into the room next to my bedroom, it takes me farther away from the router, yet I have a full connection. If I walk back into my room, bam, nothing. My router is a Netgear Rangemax Wireless-N router but I don't think that is the problem since I can get it farther away in the other rooms.
What really gets me is that my ipod touch can actually get a connection in my room. Better than my macbook. I don't know if something is blocking my connection, or if something is running off of the same frequency as my macbook or what, but it gets frustrating. I can have a connection for about 15 seconds, then it decides it wants to cut out and maybe, if I am lucky, have another 15 seconds. What could possibly be causing me this much interference. I already removed the cordless phones out of the general area of the router and between my room and the router. I don't know about anything else that could affect it. Any kind of advice could help here. Also, I can answer any questions that might help give you further information. Thanks in advance to all who can help. |
