Wireless re-Connection

okay i have HP Compaq Presario c301Nr.
i had it for about an year and a half now and i do notice it becoming slower and slower.
when i turn my laptop on wireless immediately connects to my WAP secured wireless, however my problem is when it happens to disconnect by logging off, stand by, or etc then when i log back in it cannot re-connect to the wireless.
when i try recovery, it stops at retrieveing ip address and ends up saying it is being limited
only way for me to get it connect is by rebooting the laptop it self.
