HTTP, HTTPS, FTP ports urgent help.

Hello, All
I am having problems with my IE and when i try to use it it tells me "internet explorer cannot display the webpage"
I diagnose the connection problem and im told "Windows cannot connect to the internet using HTTP, HTTPS, FTP. Check the firewall settings for the HTTP port (80), HTTPS port (443) and FTP port (21)."
Now i know there are similar or even exact same problems to this BUT i tryed every single resolution, none worked.
I only have one firewall, i have used wireless and ethernet cables, i have used safe mode with networking, i have my LAN settings set to automatically detect, same with my IP and DNS and several other solutions.
It seems i can use MSN messenger perfectly fine, but still no response from internet explorer.
I have contacted my ISP they could not fix my problem.

PLEASE, PLEASE can anyone help me asap
would be GREATLY appreciated if you can help me get back online without taking my computer to a shop.

Cheers.

Re: HTTP, HTTPS, FTP ports urgent help.

Supply the following information please.

OS running on all affected systems
Make & models of all equipment (routers, network cards, modems).
Wired or wireless?
What wireless encryption is in use? (WPA, WPA2, WEP, None)
Browsers being used (Firefox, IE, Safari, Opera,...)
What security software is installed? (Firewalls, AV, Spyware, Malware,...)

Open up a command prompt (Start > run > cmd)
Type the following bolded commands and post the results for each affected machine.

ipconfig /all
ping www.google.com
ping 74.125.53.99

Note: To post results of commands, alternate click on the top of the command prompt > edit > select all >
alternate click on the top of the command prompt > edit > copy > paste in a message here. If you are on
a computer that can't connect to the internet then paste the contents in a text document and save it to a
portable media like a flash drive, then use an internet capable machine to post the contents.

Have you tried a different browser?

Re: HTTP, HTTPS, FTP ports urgent help.

Thanks for replying!, im currently typing this using my affected computer too.
im in safe mode with networking.

Im not sure about being able to supply ALL the information because im not too sure how to obtain it sorry, but ill answer what i can.
I know my wireless router is a belkin wireless router and the modem is a Motorolla.
I use wireless to access the internet almost all the time.
The browser i use is IE.
And my security software is AVG 8.5 (but i don't think it uses a firewall)
Umm no i havnt used another browser other than IE
So should i download Firefox and see if that works?

Here are the results from the Command Prompt:

Re: HTTP, HTTPS, FTP ports urgent help.

Try contacting your ISP to make sure they aren't blocking those outbound ports.

Re: HTTP, HTTPS, FTP ports urgent help.

hi, i think there is problem with ur IE, so do one thing go to command mode and ping any website and check . for example " ping google.com". if u get reply then it is problem with ur IE only .Since Messanger use diffrent protocol other than http , https.so if that is the case better reinstall operating system .
