connecting one computer as an internet slave

I am connected to a ISP that allows me to only connect 2 computers; one wirelessly and one wired in.
I have a "MagicJack" phone system that works well on my laptop (wireless) but not so well on my wife's (wired in).
I also have another laptop that has been refurbished (Dell Latitude- Pentium III 1GHz, 256MB, 20GB)and is running XP and no programs. I expect to put in MS office in order to use the Outlook for my address book. I would like to use it as an internet connection for the phone system 27/7 but that means one of the other two needs to be disconnected. Is there a switching systemor routering system that would make this possible?

You can buy cheap ethernet switches like this one: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS...nnorswebguidec

Then plug the internet connection and the computers into it.
