Disconnecting Wireless
Hi,
I have had a very frustrating problem for a few weeks now. Basicaly my wireless connection on my laptop will randomly disconnect from my network, even though the signal is good. Even if the computer is not being used and is actually using no network usage at all it will still disconnect ! It used to be ok, I then went to Uni and used a wired connection but upon coming back hoem and using a wireless connection it happens. This is very annoying, especially if you are downloading something or talkign to friends and I keep getting knocked offline. Before you say anything, I dont think it is the actual network. I have Xbox Live and that never disconnects, plus there are 2 other computers on the network and they don't disconnect either. Any idea what to do ? Thanks in Advance Ben |

Re: Disconnecting Wireless
Some things you can try here, listed in the order you should try them.
Many times these measures will resolve a lot of intermittent issues.

Re: Disconnecting Wireless
its also possible your internal wireless network card is failing...so it would be a simple thing to add on a USB wireless network adabpter or if you have a PCMIA slot put a wireless network card into that slot...after you have loaded the software that comes with whichever you choose to buy;
