internet connection error[MOVED]

ok heres the deal im using my windows xp comp to write this as u can see and it works fine but i have a better computer that sadly, is running windows me im ive tried using the usb connection and the ethernet coord to get on the windows me computer and it registers as being connected on the ethernet cable and the usb adapter and i can retrive ip adress gateway and all that crap but in the net diagnostic it keeps telling me unreachable default gateway is in same subnet but it has all the correct information. the only difference between the xp and me setup is xp has a network and dialup connection wizard so u can set up a lan conneection u cant on me as it only has dialup wizard. and ive already clicked networking and set it up through thier the correct way and it still says unreachable default gateway is in same subnet *** am i supposed to do id really l;iek to be able to get on the internet with the better comp
