VLAN sharing issue
I have 16 vlans with custom subnets
(VLAN1) 10.10.1.0, (VLAN2) 10.10.2.0, (VLAN3) 10.10.3.0, (VLAN4) 10.10.4.0, (VLAN5) 10.10.5.0, (VLAN6) 10.10.6.0 to (VLAN16) 10.10.16.0 with Custom subnet mask of 255.255.250.0. We are using CISCO 4750 as a distribution Switch in our campus network. Computers in each VLAN has its gateway as ip interface of cisco switch and intervlan is working fine. But the problem is sharing internet in each vlan. Internet checkpoint UTM -1 NGX 270 box firewall in Same VLAN i.e VLAN 2. Firewall Box has Network Interfaces, they are Private eth0 10.10.10.2.9 as ip Subnet mask is 255.255.255.0 and Gateway is 10.10.2.1 ( that is the IP interface of the cisco switch ) . The other interface has Public Ip address and Configured with Gateway . We have Private DNS Server which is forwarding to ISP. Now the problem is the CP UTM1 firewall we can’t put two gateways, like for Private Network VLAN IP interface of VLAN 2 and for Public Interface Gateway of Router. but other VLAN Computers cannot communicate with checkpoint firewall. What Could be the solution for this problem ? regards, Eswar |

Re: VLAN sharing issue
Even though it appears you're having the same problem, please start a new thread when you have a new issue. It's very difficult to keep two problems straight and who's working on what in a single thread.
I've created a new thread for your issue here. Note: You will need to post complete details of your configuration and your specific issue in this new thread for us to help you. Thanks for your cooperation.
