Wireless Network Problem

Hey there

Been having some trouble with my laptop. I recently I got a wireless router set up on one of my pcs. I have another pc (my personal one) plus my laptop trying to use that network. My pc works fine and connects without a hitch, while my laptop keeps asking for credentials?

I have no idea what these credentials are and I've never had to input them on any other device using this wireless network. Is there a way to find out the credentials that I need?

Re: Wireless Network Problem

Thanks for the reply

I did that, it prompts for the network credentials before allowing me to connect... I can't seem to get past that stage

Re: Wireless Network Problem

What exactly is it asking for? User name & password? Network key?

Supply the following information please.

OS running on all affected systems
Make & models of all equipment (routers, network cards, modems).
What wireless encryption is in use? (WPA, WPA2, WEP, None)
What is your network name (SSID)?

Re: Wireless Network Problem

Make sure you don't have 802.1x authentication enabled on the wireless link.
