Hello
My g/f' just got a laptop I turned off the firewall and the web browser cant connect. It says signal strength is excellent BUT when I do ipconfig it says that both the media is disconnected? Does that mean the nic cards have been disabled or that she needs new drivers? thanks

Verify that all network drivers are installed.
To open device manager: start > run > devmgmt.msc If there are any !, ?, or X in the list then you need to update/reinstall the drivers or enable the device.
