Re: Connection drops

Neither of those messages tells us anything about the disconnect. We need to see any messages when it drops.

Re: Connection drops

let me try to explain my problem more

I had another computer, a much newer computer, but i got that one taken away (dont ask why) That computer has Vista and its a much faster computer with a larger HDD space. The computer that im using now is a Dell Dimension 2350. It runs Windows XP Home Edition SP3. On the other computer, the connection would drop at least once every 5 hours, sometimes it wouldnt even drop for an entire day, but it would still drop, it didnt bother me. But this computer, the dell dimension, its connection drops frequently, the time between is not consistent, sometimes it would drop every 3 minutes, sometimes i wouldnt even last a minute, and if im lucky, it wouldnt drop for 1/2 hour.
There are times, but rarely, that it wouldnt drop for hours (the longest streak would be 4 hour)
When it drops, the icon on the taskbar would show and X over it, then after about 3-5 seconds it would say acquiring network address, then the connection would come back, but there are times that it would say limited or no connectivity.
I have the latest driver for the card (which is the Belkin Wireless G Desktop Card (F5D7000 V7032))and the Router Would be the Verizon Fios one, but i dont know what kind. The signal strength between them is from Very good to Excellent.
I know its not interference, i think it has to do with my computer, becuase like i said, my other, much newer computer doesnt have this problem.
There are 2 other computers that connect to that router, both are Sony Vaio laptops (wirelessly) and 2 other desktop computers that connect via ethernet. 3 computers are Vista, and 2 are XP.
My computer is the only one with this problem
