Re: cant see internet
Supply the following information please.
OS running on all affected systems Make\models of all equipment (routers, network cards, modems). Wired or wireless? What wireless encryption is in use? Browsers being used (Firefox, IE, Safari, Opera,...) What security software is installed? Open up a command prompt (Start > run > cmd) Type the following bolded commands and post the results for each affected machine. ipconfig /all ping www.google.com ping 74.125.53.99 Note: To post results of commands, alternate click on the top of the command prompt > edit > select all > alternate click on the top of the command prompt > edit > copy > paste in a message here. If you are on a computer that can't connect to the internet then paste the contents in a text document and save it to a portable media like a flash drive, then use an internet capable machine to post the contents. Verify that the following services are running. To access services: Start > run > services.msc Services: Workstation Computer Browser Network Location Awareness TCP/IP Netbios helper DNS Client Server Network Connections Remote Procedure Call DHCP Client Wireless Services: Wireless Zero Configuration COM+ Event System WLAN AutoConfig (for Vista)

Re: cant see internet
Verify that all network drivers are installed.
To open device manager: start > run > devmgmt.msc If there are any !, ?, or X in the list then you need to update/reinstall the drivers or enable the device. And make sure that the wireless card is turned on. Most laptops have a switch on the outside of the case that turn the wireless card on/off, and a light indicating its status. Are you able to get a connection via wire?

Re: cant see internet
I don't like those tunnling adapters you have. Those make me think of IPv6. IPv6 has been known to cause issues...
Try this: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/n.../cc987595.aspx look under the vista part to disable IPv6 for vista... That may help you. You can also go to your device manager and delete those isata devices under network adapters. |
