Router Question Help

I don't really know anything about computer , gaming or networking. I have 2 laptops & 1 desk & My son & daughter have Wii,DSi & PSP3 & Xbox , that I set up wifi. I have a Belkin F5D8230-4 Pre-N). I switched from Comcast (Cable) to Verizon (DSL) & Am having nothing but problems , Been on the phone numerus times with them to get the games online, Now my problem is Download speeds & signal upstairs. Should I buy a new router & card for desk top & games or Range Extender. Please give Models & # for what ever u recommend!!

For some of the games, ports may need to be open in the router.

Got the ports open, having signal strentgh problems , the router is downstairs & the desktop, psp3 & xbox are upstairs

Are all of the consoles having problems? Is the Internet speed fine on the PC?

Downstair where the router is everything is good, Upstairs the PC & PSP3 & Xbox are slow.

Do have the correct ports open to the correct devices?

When I had verizon & beklin on the phone together, Verizon had to bridge my modem & then belkin put the ports in for the All Game Devices
