IPCONFIG closes immediately

I am running into about the same problem, I am trying to network a workgroup for my pc which is wired to my modem and runs vista ultimate, and my laptop wirelessly which runs xp pro. When you Ping ip address, should the window stay up, same with ipconfig /all? They open command propmt windows for a second then close?

Re: Networking a vista desktop, xp laptop, and 2 vista laptops

Right click in the window and select "Select All " from the list then hit enter twice.

Re: IPCONFIG closes immediately

Even though it appears you're having the same problem, please start a new thread when you have a new issue. It's very difficult to keep two problems straight and who's working on what in a single thread.

I've created a new thread for your issue here.

Note: You will need to post complete details of your configuration and your specific issue in this new thread for us to help you.

Thanks for your cooperation.

Re: IPCONFIG closes immediately

The window only opens for a split second, not enough time to click and anything?

Re: IPCONFIG closes immediately

I have a Belkin router, it works fine I have my laptop run wirelessly and my pc wired to the router. I am unable to set up a home network fwith them. I tried to ping and both ping and ipconfig /all windows close immediately.

Re: IPCONFIG closes immediately

Start> Run type in "CMD" without the quotes the window should stay open so you can type IPconfig /all into it.
