Any way to activate wireless via registry?
I managed to somehow completely break off the wireless switch on my laptop and have tried to short circuit beneath it in order to turn it on like what the switch does so the wireless goes on (denoted by a green light on my laptop) I haven't managed to do that and now wondering if there is a way to switch it on using a registry value? I have gone to the cards network connections and selected turn wireless on, but the light doesnt show and it automatically reverts back to off when I click ok.

Re: Any way to activate wireless via registry?
but the odd thing is there is a message telling me that a wireless network is in range whenever I startup, so I would think is it on. Anyway to actually solder something on it? I do have experience with this and there are 3 metal plates

Re: Any way to activate wireless via registry?
Trying to find a sony manual is like pulling teeth, I'm not sure if that switch is a separate part or soldered to the motherboard if it is separate it would be easily replaced if attached to the board.....not so easy.

Re: Any way to activate wireless via registry?
You could connect it if you are sure of the connections to make`if there are only 2 connections in side then it's easy just connect them, but if there are 3 or 4 then without a print of the diagram I could not be sure which ones to tell you to connect.
