ISP problem?

I have been having problems accessing this website.www.martonmills.co.uk.
That link takes you to the blue welcome page but when you click ENTER (to
www.martonmills.com) you just get the Internet cannot display the webpage.
Sometimes I have got to the page by finding a cached page and then it all
works. Tried XP and Vista but just the same. Tried Firefox. Tried 5
different PCs in the house but all have trouble getting the website to
display. Using Vista and XP makes no difference.
Today I can't seem to get the page at all. Cleared cache, temp files etc. No difference.

So I took my laptop to a house that had a network that could connect to www.martonmills.com and tried to connect there. I connected straight away. So I borrowed their router and returned
to my house but couldn't connect. So that only leaves a problem with my
ISP. I live in a quier area of Scotland but I am on Broadband. Anoither lady nearby with the same ISP can't get it either.

Any ideas?
Thanks

Re: ISP problem?

Well, http://www.martonmills.com/ doesn't work for me either, but http://www.martonmills.co.uk/ does.

I suspect this is a routing issue in the ISP network. I get an error trying to reach this site. AAMOF, DNS doesn't even know who that is.

C:\>tracert www.martonmills.com
Unable to resolve target system name www.martonmills.com.

C:\>

OTOH, trying the other one, it doesn't ping, but I can access the site. Note that it has a UK URL, but it's located in North America...

Re: ISP problem?

Thanks John - looks like a world wide problem although in the UK it happens mostly with BT. So I have opted to use http://www.opendns.com/ for problem websites like this rather than battle with technical help.

Thanks
