Networking with a computer on a domain
My husband has a laptop for work - it is on a domain and he will connect via VPN to get into e-mail and network drives etc. At home we have a desktop and latop on a workgroup. All computers are running XP sp3 and are currently sharing an internet connection via wireless router.
Problems: 1) Tried to share our home printer so he could print at home, but couldn't figure it out. Is it possible, or will the fact that his computer is on a domain keep us from being able to share in this manner? 2) Our "high speed" internet (wireless antenna to a mountaintop) is worse than dial-up. Our only other options are satellite or cellular. We have a cellular card to connect to internet, which we would like to be able to share over our network as this connection would be superior to our current setup. I shared the internet connection - but I think it's the same problem as before with the printer - since we're not on one workgroup it won't share? Is it possible to do what I want - or is there another way to go about this? |

Re: Networking with a computer on a domain
I'd look at NetSwitcher to store two different network profiles.
