OS: Win XP SP3
|
Hi,
Just got back to my off-campus house after the easter holiday to discover that my laptop (which worked fine on my home network) will not go onto the internet despite seemingly connecting. My ISP: Internode Make and model of broadband modem: HDAUDIO Soft Data Fax Modem with SmartCP Network adapter: Broadcom 802.11b/g WLAN Make and model of router: NETGEAR 54 Mbps Wireless ADSL Modem Router DG834G v3 It's a wireless WEP connection. OS: Win XP Professional SP3 I have tried both firefox and chrome and they don't work. Connecting the laptop directly with a cable to the router makes no difference, it is reported as connected but I still cannot access the internet. I've tried to configure the router but I cannot connect to it. All other computers and devices in the house are connecting normally. Here is some info: ---- Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600] (C) Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp.
