wireless linksys, TC, mac mini, Xbox help please.

Hardware:

Mac mini C2D
Mac book C2D
Xbox 360 (with wireless network adapter)

Linksys WRT54G wireless router
hawking usb network card (with ralink driver 0.01?)
Airport Time Capsule 7.4.1

here's the problem:

I'm a student living with my parents. I 'm staying in a converted
barn on the back of our property.
The linksys router is in the house (about 1500' from the barn).
i have an excellent connection with my hawking usb card to the
linksys, when plugged into my mac mini or macbook. The installed
airport cards and the xbox 360 cannot see the linksys, but the see my
time capsule fine (when its in the barn).

I tried taking my time capsule into the house and plugging it into the
cable modem, and it works, but the signal strength is pretty poor out
in the barn..
however my mom has some sewing software on her computer, that
runs on windows 2000, and I cant find any upgradeable versions that
will run on xp. And her computer will not "talk" to the airport time
capsule. i've tried over the past year to get a fix this way and am
giving up on this route. they pay the bills so the linksys has to stay.
I've done all that i can to improve the quality of the signal from the
linksys, and still the only steady reception i get is from the hawking
usb.

I'd like to know if i can set my system up as follows.

1. Linksys to (wireless)
2. Hawking usb to (hardwired)
3. Airport Time Capsule to (wireless)
4. Mac mini, Xbox, and Mac book

I've tried and "fooled" around with internet sharing settings with no success. if any one knows if and how i can do this, a step by step would be greatly appreciated.

thanks,

Re: wireless linksys, TC, mac mini, Xbox help please.

The Time Capsule is capable of wireless bridge mode configuration, so here's what I'd do.

Add an external antenna, such as this unit: http://www.quickertek.com/products/t...uletriband.php

Configure the Airport in bridge mode and connect the other devices to it with wired connections.

An alternate plan is to simply purchase a wireless bridge that has provisions for an external antenna and use a hi-gain directional antenna to improve reception in the barn. It would probably be cheaper than the expensive antennas for the Airport.
