[SOLVED] Resetting a Router Password?
Hi all, long story short, the router I use at home had the password changed by my mum, and by the time I got back from uni, she'd forgotten the password.
I'm currently online by connecting directly to the router with a cable. I was wondering if anyone knew how to find the password, or reset it. I know there is a website address you can type in to get into the router settings but I can't remember it for the life of me. The router I'm using is a Belkin 'ADSL Modem with Wireless G Router' both laptops used are running on Vista. Any help would be great thanks. |

Re: Resetting a Router Password?
Hi,
I assume you mean your wireless password, which you use to connect to your router wirelessly, and not the admin password to the router itself? If so, then you should be able to change it by accessing the web interface. To access the web interface on your router you will need to enter its IP address into your web browser. I think it should be 192.168.2.1 for your router, so you would type: http://192.168.2.1 Into your web browser, and the setting for the password should be inside ‘security’ under the heading ‘Wireless’ on the left hand side, I think. Hope this helps. |

Re: Resetting a Router Password?
Yea, I was referring to the wireless password and the info you gave did the trick!
Thanks very much, I've been banging my head against a wall with this for a week before I thought to ask here! |
