Problem with using extension for Wireless USB Adapter
Hi,
I'm currently using a Linksys wireless USB adaptor and problem occurs when the adaptor is connected thru an extension provided in the adaptor's package. When the USB adaptor is directly plugged into the USB port of my CPU, everythings work perfectly. When an extension is used, the light of my USB adaptor blinked like 3 seconds and stop, at the same time no network is being detected. I tried to use the same extension to connect my thumbdrive it works normal, and when I use the extension with the USB adaptor in other computer, it works also. Can any kind soul guide me?

Re: Problem with using extension for Wireless USB Adapter
I'd call Linksys first, since it seems something about the adapter running on that extension.

Re: Problem with using extension for Wireless USB Adapter
I've check with Linksys and they advised that it might be due to power insufficient to reach the adaptor through the extension, and that explains why it works when directly pluck in.
So is it really true that my CPU power is failing? How do I check? |
