Realtek RTL8187B Wireless

Realtek RTL8187B Wireless 802.11b/g 54Mbps USB 2.0 Network Adapter

i have a advent 5421 with the above wireless built in and it is giving me some very annoying problems.

i can successfully connect to it wherever i am in my house but no matter where i am even if im next to the router the signal quality is always poor and this causes my internet to be very slow. I know there is nothing wrong with my router since i can connect without a problem with my other laptop and using my ps3 console and it dont lagg either.

i connect with everything disconnected only my advent laptp connected an i get a poor signal quality bar no matter where i am even when it works but is slow and sometimes automatically disconnects and a miniute later it reconnects.

if i use a recovery cd in my laptop would this sove the problem or could someone help me find a solution to the problem.

i dont want to end up sending it again as i got it back fromrepair for another fault which took more then 2 weeks to complete and wait and im in need for it as i have some coursework to do.

please any help is much apreciated
