Intel PROSet Wireless Utility - Losing Connection during standy
I have a Dell Latitude D630, Windows XP Professional SP3 running Intel PROSet Wireless Utility (ver. 12.1.1.0) that is managing the IntelPro Adapter 3945ABG Network Connection.
When my computer goes into standy, it loses the Wifi connection. When I come out of standby, I get a message from the IntelPRO Utility that another application has taken over management of the wireless adapter and I have to re-enable IntelPro to manage the adapter. Its kind of annoying and I think I've disable the Windows WRZ and don't know of any other application on my machine that would manage the WiFi adapter. Is there a way to configure IntelPro Wireless to NOT allow another program to take control of the wireless adapter? Is there a way for the IntelPro Wireless to NOT lose WiFi connectivity when going into standby mode? I've searched the IntelPro manual, settings, etc. and it isn't obvious to me, so any assistance in where to look would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. |
