[SOLVED] Los of wireless
For some reason my wireless connection on one of my laptops has suddenly stopped and won't connect. It was working ine earlier but later in the day I booted up the laptop with the WLAN off, switched it on and now it won't connect.
I am running Windows XP on a Compaq v3000 laptop. I have a Belkin 54g wireless router. My other laptop is connecting fine, which is what I'm using at the moment. I am a fairly novice user so may have to have my hand held. All help is much appreciated. |

Re: Los of wireless
This might be a driver issue or firmware on the router. Update both and just for the hell of it change the router to only handle G or B, whichever your wireless card is.
Also be sure no other devices on the same wavelength are in use. (Microwaves and wireless phones.) |

Re: [SOLVED] Los of wireless
I have seen power save modes that, once your battery level has hit a certain percentage, will turn off your wireless card to preserve battery life. You can only charge the battery to get the wifi back on.
