Inexq Wireless Router WEP Key problem
Hi,
I own a Inexq Wireless Router (for home broadband) and I currently have no security on this (therefore I unplug it when not in use!). I reset the router and logged on to the website by inputting the default gateway IP into the browser. I then go to the LAN - Wireless section and enable WEP security and click on generate keys. After 1-2 mins of doing this I lose Internet connection. When I view available wireless networks it states that my network is now Secure but I do not know what the password is since it didn't give me an option to specifiy one! Also I am sure it hasn't generate the WEP keys correctly because Internet connection was lost before the process completed. Am I missing something here? I realise this type of router isn't the most common and perhaps I should just go out and buy a Belkin or something else but it seems a shame because I am almost there with this. I have to reset the router again to regain connection because this resets the router to factory default and therefore it disables security....any ideas? Thanks |

Re: Inexq Wireless Router WEP Key problem
I would toss the Inexq, and get a Linksys WRT54GL router.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...iption=WRT54GL I read a couple reviews on the Inexq, and it looks like your not alone. Last edited by alpenadiver; 03-15-2009 at 06:03 AM. |
