Cant Activate WiFi on Intel Laptop
Hello.
My friend just bought a new laptop and we got a big problem. We have installed Vista Ultimate 64bit and all drivers. The HotKey drivers and WiFi drivers is installed but the big problem is that we cant activate the WiFi card on the laptop. The card is a Intel 802.11a/b/g/n. Ive just checked Device manager and the card is working but i CANT activate it with FN+F11. The hotkey just wont respond so i need another way to activate it. From Manual Diagnostics Tool in Intel i got this results: Wireless hardware is enabled Diver is loaded. Net w5v64 Version : 12.2.0.11 Hardware Radio is OFF. I hope you understand my problem, the card is working but the activation on the laptop is not working. If you need more info about hte computer just ask, its a Intel® Core™2 Duo computer and its totally fresh. Please help me and my friend :) |

Re: Cant Activate WiFi on Intel Laptop
Perhaps knowing what brand and model laptop it is would help. I know that ACER laptops have their on software core that must be installed before any of the hotkey elements will work.

Re: Cant Activate WiFi on Intel Laptop
It would appear that you have a wireless adapter.
Let's see this. Hold the Windows key and press R, then type CMD to open a command prompt: In the command prompt window that opens, type type the following command: Note that there is a space before the /ALL, but there is NOT a space after the / in the following command. IPCONFIG /ALL Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter to copy the contents to the clipboard. Paste the results in a message here. If you are on a machine with no network connection, use a floppy, USB disk, or a CD-RW disk to transfer a text file with the information to allow pasting it here.
