i set up a winxp pro/ubuntu dualboot computer to have the same ip behind a NAT router; both oses run a vpn server, so as long the computer is on i can log in :P
however, the problem is that i can log in from only within my intranet, which makes this kinda pointless. the nat router is connected directly to my cable modem, which has a static ip. i assume my problem can easily be fixed if i enable port fowarding on my router. HOWEVER, FOR SECURITY REASONS, I CAN NOT DO SO ![]() is there another way to acess the vpn server from the internet short of messing with the router? |

Re: VPN over router problem?
You need to enable IPSEC passthrough on the router. If the router is blocking the VPN and you can't change it, you're out of luck.
