Sharing a connection at work

Is there a type of splitter that I can use at my work desk to share the connection?

The sales department decided to put a computer (that they practically never even use) at my desk for the sales people to use (it is at my desk but I can't use it

) and one sales person in particular thinks that when I plug in my ethernet cord and unplug the sales computer's ethernet cord that it completely screws up their computer.

You should talk to your computer person before making changes to the network. Can it be done, yes. Should you do it, no.
