wireless
What i want to do is buy a wireless printer so i can have it high on a shelf away from my four young childrens reach.
Dont think my pc is wireless enabled I have a speed touch router which i believe is a wireless one but im connected to it by ethernet cable. Does all hardware have to be wireless or can i just have a wireless printer? Can someone advise me on what to do? Thanks |

Re: wireless
think of wireless as a telephone conversation. both parties have to have a phone. So the calling device and the receiving device need to be wireless. I don't think you can use the wireless in the router, you will need to get a wireless pci card for your desktop....do not get a usb wireless card...i have not had good luck with them...of course that is my opinion.

Re: wireless
Wrong, you can have the wireless printer that links to the router directly. All wired or wireless workstations will be able to connect without issue to the printer.
