''Turn on wireless capability'' - but it is on and still not working!
I wasnt sure whether this problem is a networking problem or a laptop problem. Basically my sisters laptop ( Sony VGN-NR32L) has been able to connect to our wirless network fine until recently when it just stopped, she swears she hasn't done anything, but that is questionable!
My laptop still connects so I dont think it is actually a problem with the network, rather the laptop itself. When I click diagnose and repair it says ''Turn on wireless capability'' but the wireless LAN switch on the laptop is on. I really don't know what to do. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks, Emily |

Re: ''Turn on wireless capability'' - but it is on and still not working!
First off, does it still connect using a wired connection?
Hold the Windows key and press R, then type devmgmt.msc Please respond to all the following steps.
Let's see this as well. Hold the Windows key and press R, then type CMD to open a command prompt: In the command prompt window that opens, type type the following command: Note that there is a space before the /ALL, but there is NOT a space after the / in the following command. IPCONFIG /ALL Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter to copy the contents to the clipboard. Paste the results in a message here. If you are on a machine with no network connection, use a floppy, USB disk, or a CD-RW disk to transfer a text file with the information to allow pasting it here.
