Browsing disconnects after 10 minutes
I've been having a massive problem connecting to wireless devices...
In order to connect to the wireless at my uni, you have install a program called VPN Client. You then connect through VPN client and on to the wireless. Now, a few weeks ago I had to install a new version of this program. The setup included uninstalling the older version. Everything installed fine and I was able to connect to the wireless through the VPN Client with no problem. The trouble starts when I try to connect to any other wireless now. I'll turn my laptop on, connect to the internet and I'll be able to browse, download etc for about 10 minutes. I can still MSN and Skype after that but that's about it. It then occurred to me that VPN Client might have something to do with the problem. So I uninstalled it. But when I did that, I didn't even get the 10mins browsing time. I tried reinstalling the older version (when things were fine but again the same trouble.) Once again, MSN and Skype works fine on either occasion. Then, when I install the newer version of the VPN Client, the 10mins browsing time limit returns. It is also worth noting that I can connect to one website... my uni's webmail. ANY idea what the hell I can do about it? It's a bit annoying that I can only use the internet properly on my laptop when I'm at uni. Thanks in advance for any help. |
