2 NIC's and 2 separate DSL connections...
Hello!
2 questions for the eggheads in here:1) How can I ensure that the wireless connection stays on when connecting a wired connection directly to an ethernet harddisk? Can I somehow tell the computer that the LAN-port is only for LAN and that internet is accessed wireless? This is on a laptop running Vista. 2) I have 2 DSL connections (8 Mbit and 20 Mbit). On my desktop computer I have a LAN-card and a WLAN-card. I can connect both at the same time to the 2 networks (2 routers and 2 separate DSL's). How can I get 28 Mbit throughput? - It seems the computer only uses one connection at a time and I want it to use both. Do they have to run on separate subnets? I have tried bridging but bridging is not the solution here... Strangely enough I have had no probs connecting both LAN and WLAN at the same time on the desktop but not on the laptop. Why is that? Thanks! |
