Does anyone know if it possible to network two pc's through an eSATA connection?

Maybe with some sort of an eSATA crossecable of sorts.

No way is it possible. That's not what SATA as designed for. eSaTA ports are, to all intents and purposes, for hard drives only. Networking? Forget it.

Unfortunately, the fastest speeds you'll get are the gigabit speeds (if you have a LAN line) or 480Mb/s through USB. Sorry.

XP supports firewire 1394 networking, but vista dropped it infavor of the USB to USB transfer unit.
