Question Configuring Cisco Pix 501 - Assigning a static IP

This should be a fairly basic process; I'm simply not familiar with networking principles, and could really use some advice, if not straight up step-by-step instructions.

This is what I know, at the moment, and I will post more as I gather information:
  • Device: Cisco Pix 501
  • Task: "Assign a static IP address"
I realize this is vague, but this is all I have been told so far. This does not seem to be DSL related; I believe they want to set a static IP to a device such as a printer or computer, but this is pure speculation.
  • Location: Office

Let me know if I need to provide any other information.

Thanks a million for any help you can give me, here.
In the meantime, I will be reading what I can find on the subject, waiting for the lady to call me back with more information.
