my sons laptop is doing the same thing..only slightly different I have a belkin wireless router at my house which he has never been able to connect to...at his mom's they have a netgear router which he was able to connect to but now can't ....seems the only way he can connect to the internet now is if a neighbor is logged on and he picks up their wireless...any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Even though it appears you're having the same problem, please start a new thread when you have a new issue. It's very difficult to keep two problems straight and who's working on what in a single thread.
