Sharing Network Connection
Can any one help in how to set up a broadband network connection and also a local network connection.
Here's my specification...to connect around 15 xp pc,have already installed ISP(broadband) in my admin pc how do i make network to all my clients and also monitor them and also install printer sharing . pls help |

Re: Sharing Network Connection
To share your broadband connection, and local LAN you will need a router (unless your DSL modem acts as a router), and a switch with enough ports to handle all the computers, unless you will be using a wi-fi connection also.
The computers need to be on the same workgroup, you can use the network connection wizard in XP, make sure to enable file and print sharing. |

Well, since you mention monitoring the clients, you'll need a gateway that has the capability you're talking about.
How about being specific about exactly what kind of "monitoring" and any "control" you desire over the Internet link as well as the network exchanges?
