help setting up VPN

i need help setting up VPN access.

i want to access couple of machines remotely using remote desktop. allow 2 to 3 users to tunnel in at the same time from anywhere. this remote site have cable connection.

i need to know what kind of hardware i need and all. whether to go with IPsec or PPTP..etc.

You didn't specify anything about the environment and exactly what equipment like modem, router, etc. you have.

Multiple VPN tunnels will require a router that is capable of handling that, many SOHO models won't.

sorry. here it is. thanks.

this remote location i want to RDP into has cable connection with cable modem, then Linksys router and 3 machines. No servers, just XP pro machines.

I want to have 2 to 3 RDP sessions going into this place at any one time from anywhere.

You can connect multiple RDP sessions, but I don't know if you'll get multiple VPN tunnels running.

You just have to change the RDP port to be unique for each session to have multiples running.
