Reconnect after hibernate?

I am curious to see what/if any response will be. I have a similar issue with mine as well on a Linksys router. Firmware all that is up to date and as yours it mainly affects my wireless but occassionlly will also get my wired connections as well. Once the laptop goes to sleep, hibernate, etc... and it's awakened, the connection is lost and I have to reboot the wireless router and laptop. This happens with the Mac laptop and the Wii as well so I know there are issues with this dang thing. But what the root cause is has got me.

mgray, have you checked firmware version to ensure it is up to date? Just throwing an idea out there

Re: Frequent "Invalid IP" issues on my wireless systems....requiring a router reboot

Okay so what if you aren't restricting you DHCP scope? And usually when mine can't connect or pull an IP, the SSID isn't even broadcasting for some reason. Wireless on the Any thoughts on that?

Re: Reconnect after hibernate?

Even though it appears you're having the same problem, please start a new thread when you have a new issue. It's very difficult to keep two problems straight and who's working on what in a single thread.

I've created a new thread for your issue here.

Note: You will need to post complete details of your configuration and your specific issue in this new thread for us to help you.

Thanks for your cooperation.

Picking up my post from the other topic:

If the SSID is supposed to be broadcast, the SSID not broadcasting points to a router problem. Did you look for SSID's in your neighborhood to see if the router is there, but somehow different? A hardware problem could flip a bit, and a 1 becomes a 3, (binary 01 becomes 11) for example. If there is a hardware problem with the router, there isn't a lot to be done short of replacing the router.

Are you running encryption? And what make/model router?
