Xbox 360 and ethernet connection to computer won't show up

So I decided to get xbox live through bridging the ethernet connection and wireless internet connection. I hooked up my Xbox and pc with the ethernet cable but it won't show up on my computers networking connections in the control panel. I don't really know what the problem is so I don't know what to look for.

Oh and by the way, I have a windows xp with sp2, if you need to know.

First off, you should use a crossover CAT5 cable for connecting the XBOX to the PC.

With bridging disabled on the network connections, please post this.


Hold the Windows key and press R, then type CMD to open a command prompt:

In the command prompt window that opens, type type the following command:

Note that there is a space before the /ALL, but there is NOT a space after the / in the following command.

IPCONFIG /ALL

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter to copy the contents to the clipboard.
Paste the results in a message here.

If you are on a machine with no network connection, use a floppy, USB disk, or a CD-RW disk to transfer a text file with the information to allow pasting it here.
