I am currently trying to set up a small network at my parents house and they purchased a router and I have been through the steps a million times and it still says that it can not connect to the internet. does any one have any ideas where i am messing up?

We might if we knew what kind of ISP you have, the make/model of the broadband modem, the make/model of the router, the version of Windows you run, and what symptoms you see.
When you give no information, it's real hard to hazard a guess as to what's happening... ![]()

Make sure you are using the proper cables too. A crossover cable should go to the router from the cable modem and patch cables form the router to the PC's.
