WinXP Pro wireless connection problems
I have Linksys wireless network. WEP on, SSID broadcast off. I have two IBM laptops G41 and T30 that are connected to the network. The G41 connects consistently. The T30 will connect inconsisently. Sometimes it connects, sometimes it doesn't (I get a WEP key error, even though I haven't changed anything). This week, on the T30, I was traveling and connected to the hotel's wireless network. WEP was off, and I set up a new travel profile with WEP off and the name of the hotel's SSID. Sometimes it connected, and sometimes it failed with a "WEP Key Error", even though I was using a profile that specified WEP = off.
Any ideas what is happening? |
