Some programs think i'm not connected to the internet

I'm having a strange problem where some programs are saying that I am not connected to the internet. For example, when I try to log in to games for windows live on GTA, it says i'm not connected to the internet, and when I start up daemon tools pro it can't connect to the database to verify my copy of it because it says i'm not connected. There are a few other cases where this is happening too. On the other hand, other games work fine, p2p works fine, and my internet browser works fine. I'm not quite sure what the problem is.

I'm using a Linksys WRT54GS router.

When this problem first happened I tried setting up a static IP, and then forwarding my ports but the problem still persists.

I don't have any firewalls that I know of turned on. I disabled the router and windows firewalls.

Re: Some programs think i'm not connected to the internet

I'd start by resetting everything back to defaults and work from there. Also, try booting in Safe Mode with Networking and see if the problem still occurs.

Re: Some programs think i'm not connected to the internet

Top suspect here would have to be a firewall.

Re: Some programs think i'm not connected to the internet

I've disabled all the firewalls that I know of though. I disabled the router one, windows firewall, and I don't think I have any third party firewalls.

Re: Some programs think i'm not connected to the internet

The router firewall has nothing to do with this issue.

Please post a HijackThis 2.00.2 Log here.

I have no idea what it is but disabling it hasn't seemed to cause or solve any problems.
