Cisco Pix

Hi

I'm hoping someone can help me out.

I've started a new job that already has a VPN set up using a few Cisco PIXs.
I've installed a webmail server inside the network, but sadly my CCNA didnt teach me how to open up a port/route a pix to the internal server.

If anyone can help I'd give more info.

Thanks

Re: Cisco Pix

PIX's aren't the easiest to deal with. Do you understand static NAT/PAT? This is what you will have to do, along with creating a rule in the security set to allow the traffic. If your users are using the VPN to get to the internal network then you shouldn't need to do this but you do have to allow VPN users access to the internal network (should already be enabled if they are accessing other servers). I would also suggest you download a copy of the Cisco ASDM software to manage your PIX's - esppecially if you are not confident with CLI.

Cheers

Wiz
