networking and virus threats

I do have 3 computers now (hard lined) networked together. My question is, if one of the pc's does get a virus, will the other 2 then also get the virus? If so, how do I stop that?

I use AVG 8.0 (free version) on all 3

Not necessarily. Obviously, once it's inside the LAN, it's a lot easier for it to spread.
