Neyworking my office to my home using a modem and not the internet
I run a very small business and I want to be able to use the modems in my office desktop and a laptop at a different location to be able to connect the 2 together.
I do not want to have to use the internet to do this connection. Is the a way for the laptop just to dail into the desktop? If so, then I need to how in detail! The laptop needs access to my company records and need to be able to edit them also. If this can be done, then I want to goto either a dsl connection on the desktop or possible a cable connetion that I could elinate the cost of 2 dailups one for the desktop and 1 for the remote laptop. The laptop and the desktop are both Windows XP Home By the way, I have 2 modems installed in the desktop and I also have 2 seperate phone lines hooked to them. |
