Networking Problem

I have small network with static IP address through wired hub. Four PCs are linked together . Win Xp service pack 2 is running on three PCs and Win 98se is installed on one pc and only this computer has dialup connection. Whenever I connect to internet the other three computers on networking disappears and when I disconnect the internet they appear again. How can I fix this problem. Please guide me.

Re: Networking Problem

Whenever you connect to the internet the DNS information for finding anything is taken over by your ISP. That is why you cannot see anyone on the network. You can edit your hosts file and enter in the information of all your local computers so even when you connect to the internet you still see your network computers.
