LAN Limited or No Connectivity
Computer running Win XP Home edition, SP3.
DSL modem = ZyXel, Prestige 600 series, model 645M-UHP. Router = none ISP = Earthlink DSL modem connected directly to computer's ethernet port I recently moved to a new home. DSL was working without problems at my old house. My ISP has switched the service to my new home. I have been using dial-up, however, since I cannot get DSL to work. All other phones in the house have filters on them. When I turn on the modem, all status lights are on and steady. When I try to connect to intrenet, I get the following message-- "Limited or No Connectivity "You might not be able to access the Internet or some network resources. This problem occurred because the network did not assign a network address to the computer." When I click on "Repair" button, the same message returns. It appears the computer cannot obtain an IP address. How do I resolve this? Here follows my ipconfig /all screen-- Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600] Windows IP Configuration Host Name . . . . . . . . . . . . : studio Primary Dns Suffix . . . . . . . : Node Type . . . . . . . . . . . . : Unknown IP Routing Enabled. . . . . . . . : No WINS Proxy Enabled. . . . . . . . : No PPP adapter Earthlink.DialUp: Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : Description . . . . . . . . . . . : WAN (PPP/SLIP) Interface Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 00-53-45-00-00-00 Dhcp Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : No IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 4.232.75.20 Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.255 Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 4.232.75.20 DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 207.69.188.187 207.69.188.186 NetBIOS over Tcpip. . . . . . . . : Disabled Tunnel adapter Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface: Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : Description . . . . . . . . . . . : Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 80-00-FB-B4-FB-17-B4-EB Dhcp Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : No IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : fe80::ffff:ffff:fffd%4 Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : NetBIOS over Tcpip. . . . . . . . : Disabled Tunnel adapter 6to4 Tunneling Pseudo-Interface: Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : Description . . . . . . . . . . . : 6to4 Tunneling Pseudo-Interface Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 04-E8-4B-14 Dhcp Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : No IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 2002:4e8:4b14::4e8:4b14 Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 2002:c058:6301::c058:6301 DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : fec0:0:0:ffff::1%1 fec0:0:0:ffff::2%1 fec0:0:0:ffff::3%1 NetBIOS over Tcpip. . . . . . . . : Disabled Tunnel adapter Automatic Tunneling Pseudo-Interface: Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : Description . . . . . . . . . . . : Automatic Tunneling Pseudo-Interface Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 04-E8-4B-14 Dhcp Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : No IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : fe80::5efe:4.232.75.20%2 Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : fec0:0:0:ffff::1%1 fec0:0:0:ffff::2%1 fec0:0:0:ffff::3%1 NetBIOS over Tcpip. . . . . . . . : Disabled |

Re: LAN Limited or No Connectivity
Did you call Earthlink support and find out why? Are you SURE the DSL service is active on the line you're using? They should help you solve this issue.
