Cannot access Network or computers on Network
For some reason, recently, I cannot access computers on the network or access the network folders. I can ping all computers on the network, but when I try to access shared folders or network drives and folders by using the run command and typing in \\computer-name, I get the following error:
"A device attached to the system is not functioning" I know it sounds like a hardware issue, but I check all the hardware in the device manager and everything seems to be working fine, I check the wireless card drivers and they seem to be working fine. What is also odd, I can access my own shared folders locally by using \\mycomputername, but if I try to access it by using the ip \\192.168.2.x I get the same error. Other computers on the network can be accessed fine. Is this a hardware issue or a problem with the network or server? Thanks |
