Wireless Networks abroad
I’m sending a team of techs to Jamaica for some contract work. I want to make sure they can stay in touch with us here in the states. Would our cell phones and wireless cards which we use in the US work there? I know in Europe, having been there, they do not. But none of us have been to the Caribbean before.

Re: Wireless Networks abroad
Jamaica, aye? I lived there for 5 months. Crazy place, but the people are very nice. Jamaica and most Caribbean states are on the same phone system with the US. You can call back and forth without using country codes. You could even have an 800 number, so your clients there can reach you without long distance charges. Companies like Gotvmail offer 800 numbers and office extensions. Just look up virtual phone systems.
