Network Problem
Hi All,
I am running a Windows 2000 pro but my machines fails to communicate with the network. As i try opening entire network in my network places it shows an error message "network is not present or started" now i have found that my computer services misses the computer browser service. How can i get that particular service which runs under services.exe. hope u ppl will be gr8 help. thnx Rabeea |

Have you gone into Services and started the computer browser service? Did you check it's properties to see if it's setup for automatic start?

Thnx for tsaking out time to reply.... Yeah i have checked my Computer services and i cant even find computer browser service so how can i start it. All i want is to install that computer browser service. Hope u all will be gr8 help |

If you don't see Computer Browser listed in Services, then something has been compromised in your installation. It can't hurt to try these fixes in this order, reboot and see if you get connected after each one.
